YA of MN PROGRAMS QUICK SORT

Volunteer or intern with young audiences of minnesota

Young Audiences of Minnesota works closely with our interns and volunteers to develop a position that best fits their skills as well as their areas of interest. With a staff of 6 full time employees, all YA interns and volunteers get a broad introduction to the basic functions of our arts-in-education non-profit. While most work is done in our offices, interns and volunteers are invited and encouraged to attend our programs in the community.

Current Opportunities and Projects

Research the History of Young Audiences

Young Audiences of Minnesota was founded in 1963 as part of an education project of WAMSO - the volunteer organization of the Minnesota Orchestra. In 1993, our organization separated into an independent 501(c)(3)organization. The WAMSO achieves, including the early records of Young Audiences of Minnesota, are currently being kept as part of the collection at the University of Minnesota Library.

We are looking for an individual who can help review these achieves and retrieve information to create a complete history of our organization.
This project could be completed in a 2-3 week period, possibly starting in early July. Individual would work with current staff as well as with WAMSO members to review the archives and put together a plan of action for data collection and presentation.
